Nick Franco

Executive Producer & Film Director

Nick set up 1185 films in 2003 and has worked across a range of genres as director and producer. His organizational skills with crews & shoots have been in great demand for people planning difficult jobs in Africa & Eastern Europe, and his understanding of post-production allows him to know better than many producers how to create a sensible & economic workflow from the shoot to the finished DCP. Nick’s attention to detail extends through from initial concept through production, delivery and ROI. Nick believes that everything created must have value.

David Edmunds

Creative Producer

David began his career as an art director with over 15 years experience working with global brands across TV, Press & Posters for advertising agencies including Young & Rubicam, Benton & Bowles, DMB&B, Collett Dickenson & Pearce and Landsdown Euro. Moving on to represent and produce for many of the UK’s leading photographers before becoming creative director of London Photographic Association – Moving Pictures. showcasing emerging and established film-makers. Before joining forces with 1185 Films, he co-founded Kalectiv a collaboration of film-makers and digital artists producing branded content solutions for advertisers and agencies across all platforms.

Italian fashion photographer and video creative director Woland has worked with 1185 films on film projects with the likes of Gucci, Dior, the Royal Ballet, V Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and Lady Gaga's costume designer Marko Mitanovski,

Simon Kershaw

Copywriter

A copywriter by craft, Simon has over 30 years’ experience, working in every medium, for everyone from global brands to one-man bands. His career includes spells at JWT, FCB, Ogilvy, HAVAS, AMV BBDO, VCCP and Craik Jones. Over the five years he was Creative Director at Craik Jones, the agency picked up over 100 creative awards, including Cannes, D&AD, Campaign, DMA (UK), DMA/Echo (US) and John Caples for work on Diageo, First Direct and Land Rover.
