Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake Trailer in 3D
1185 Films was privileged to be asked to work by Leopard Films on our first 3D project, post-producing Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake cinema trailer. The film is a 3D version of the highly successful contemporary reinterpretation which wowed audiences on stage – it is the longest running ballet in both the West End and on Broadway. Shooting it in 3D showcases the stunning choreography & costumes; Sky Arts filmed it at Sadler’s Wells in 2011 to demonstrate their 3D capabilities.

The new 1185films co-directing team, Nick Franco and Barney Edwards, are already out there, starting with an exciting existentialist fashion film for Brian Clarke’s new menswear range. It helped to launch his new store in Marylebone – an exclusive first time screening was held and got a great reception.

Burnin’ & Lootin’ – The Tunnel
Burnin’ and Lootin’ Tonight is the blazing story of the London riots, told by the people for the people, using real footage & interviews. Writer Stanley Collins moved to the UK in the 1990s and watched the events unfold literally before his eyes. Realising the importance of these events, he started to record interviews with locals in Hackney where he lives. The story captures the immediate reality of the volatile and powerful situation unravelling at the speed of BBMs. BnLT takes to the city streets to find out why this happened: how did the youth mobilise so quickly into flash mobs, what was the reasoning behind their resentment & dissatisfaction…. London 10KM Race Promo
1185films were commissioned to create a promotional video for the 12th 2011 British 10k Run, which took place in London in July 2011, to help showcase the popular event for potential sponsors of the special 2012 British 10K Run.
The high quality video, shot by a static & mobile camera crew, included many major London landmarks that the 25,000 runners passed on the route, watched by over 40,000 spectators lining the streets to encourage & support their endeavours. The event has been held for the past 12 years in London, in aid of charity, and has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for both the official charity supported, and for the individuals running to support their own charity of choice. Jonathan Jeremiah – Music Promo
1185films were asked to edit, and grade the promo for Jonathan Jeremiah‘s new song ‘Lost’, out September 12th 2011 – the promo features the Metropole Orkest and was shot by Glenn Dearing in Holland, at the North Sea Jazz Festival. 1185films were proud to be asked to edit & sound mix a 3’15″ length corporate promo for Sky TV, which was screened at the Edinburgh Television Festival 2011.
